Determining First Reference Software Version:

  1. From within our software click Help >About - The version is listed in this screen

Determining Windows Version/Service Pack Level:

Windows XP
  1. Click Start
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. Double-click on the System Icon and click on the General tab - The Windows version and SP level is listed in this tab
Windows Vista and Windows 7
  1. Click Start > Control Panel
  2. Click System and Security
  3. Click System - The Windows version and SP level is listed at the top of this panel

Determining Office Version:

Office 2000 through 2003
  1. From within Word click Help >About - The Office version is listed in this screen
Office 2007
  1. From within Word, click the Start button
  2. Click Word Options
  3. Click Resources - The Office version is visible on this panel

Determining Internet Explorer Version:

  1. From within IE, click the Help button (the Question mark)
  2. Click About - The IE version is visible on this screen
Determining if you have Read/Write access to a folder:

  1. Right Click on the folder
  2. Select the Security tab
  3. Highlight your profile and view the access definitions below (allow/deny)
Capturing Error Messages:

  1. Press the Print Screen key when an error message comes on screen and start Word
  2. Click on the Edit Menu and select Paste (or press CTRL+V)
