Connect to Existing Policies on a Network Share

Note: To use this feature, PolicyPro must be installed locally on the client PC and a set of policy files must be in a shared folder on another device.  

To Connect to Existing Policies on a Network drive or shared folder

1. Click Tools
2. Select Options

   The Policy Manual Location dialogue box appears.
   

   


 
3. Click the Network or Shared Folder radio button
4. Type the complete path and folder name into the Network or Share path box

   



 

This can be in the form of a mapped drive letter as in the figure above, or can be the UNC name; for example:

\\FirstRef02\FRDATA\shared policy files

 

5. Click OK

The connection confirmation dialogue box appears.



 


 
6. Click Yes to access the existing policies.

The software must close and be restarted for the location change to take effect.

 

7. Click OK to close PolicyPro




 
8. Restart the PolicyPro Software
