Customize a Policy

Open a Policy

There are two main document types in PolicyPro, Model documents in pdf format and user-created documents which tend to be in Microsoft Word^® format.

Although the format of the documents may differ, the process for opening a document is the same.

Open a Model Policy

The Model policies are in pdf format and can only be updated by First Reference. Each Model policy has a corresponding policy Overview that outlines any issues that need to be considered when creating that policy. For information about viewing the policy Overview, click here.

To open a Model Policy

1. Double-click on the Model in the Table of Contents

   
   

Open a Draft, Official or Archive Policy

You must create a Draft to customize a policy. You cannot customize a Model policy. We recommend that you create and modify your policies in the Draft Version. When the revisions to your policies are complete and the policies are finalized, promote the Draft to Official.
