Store Policies on a Network Share

Note: PolicyPro must be installed locally on the client PC before the files can be migrated to a network drive or shared folder.

To Store Policies on a Network drive or shared folder

1. Start PolicyPro
    
2. Click Tools
    
3. Select Options

   The Policy Manual Location dialogue box appears.
   

   

 

4. Click the Network or Shared Folder radio button
    
5. Type the complete path and folder name into the Network or Share path box

   




 

This can be in the form of a mapped drive letter as in the figure above, or can be the UNC name; for example:

\\FirstRef02\FRDATA\shared policy files

 

6. Click OK

The Create a networked Policy Manual dialogue box appears.




 
7. Click Yes to migrate the policy files to the network location.

The policy files are copied from the local installation to the Network location.



Once the copy is complete, the software must close and be restarted for the location change to take effect.
 

8. Click OK to close PolicyPro



 

9. Restart the PolicyPro Software
